It's the forgotten commandment of church fundraising. Or the only commandment of church fundraising, since I don't think anybody's written a list yet. Whatever the case, it's an important one. Especially when we're inundated with people asking for money on a daily basis ? donate to the schools before we can't afford supplies and the children have to start writing in their chicago jersey own blood! Buy ten boxes of Girl Scout cookies before you collapse from a buttercream deficiency! Support Germaphobic's Anonymous before we have to switch to generic hand soap! THE HUMANITY!
Not that these requests aren't completely valid and worthy of your money. The point is that the fundraising landscape is a cluttered one. And your church fundraiser is just as important as every high school and sports team out there shilling for their share of donations. That doesn't mean you have to shell out tons of dough to have your church fundraiser info skywritten over town (although a message delivered from above would be pretty appropriate for the occasion). But your campaign also doesn't have to consist of roping churchgoers into schlepping themselves door-to-door on your behalf or instituting a special "basketholder's tax" on the collection basket. Apparel
Spread the gospel through the power of the t-shirt! It's a mighty power, not to be messed with. You can screen print your church logo for cheap on t-shirts, hoodies, muumuus, loincloths, whatever you like and sell them to the public and congregation. Or let your creative juices flow and put favorite quotes or funny pictures on them, anything you think might resonate with your community and represent the voice and personality of the church. Everybody loves a t-shirt! And don't think your consumer base is limited to churchgoers ? you'll make a killing on "ironic" sales from the disenchanted, hipster population of your community (every community has one ?? check your local chicago jersey Urban Outfitters).
